San Jose at Dallas

San Jose -140 -1.5(+210) Over 5.5(-120)
Dallas +120 +1.5(-250) Under 5.5(even)

San Jose is still trying to clinch the best record in the West, while the Dallas Stars are on the fringe of being officially eliminated. These two teams met in San Jose on Thursday, with the Sharks shutting out Dallas 3-0. The last time they met in Dallas on march 16th,the Stars erupted by scoring eight goals and blasting the Sharks 8-2. However, that was when the Sharks were in the midst of their season long six game losing streak. This is a different team right now as they have won four in a row, and although they will be without Joe Thornton tonight, they do have a rested Evgeni Nabokov in net tonight and should be motivated to avenge what happened the last time they played at American Airlines Center. Dallas has been too inconsistent all season, and goes back to the struggling Marty Turco in goal tonight.

The Pick: San Jose -140
Sharks seem to be motivated without Thornton and are playing much better of late. Secondary scorers such as Devin Setoguchi and Joe Pavelski have stepped up in Thornton's absence.
